Today was the Modelforce 2012 show in Helchteren (Belgium). I went there and since it's not nextdoor for me I thought about spending all day there. I thus decided to bring two of my models with me to join the competition. Since that was the first time for me that I participate to such a competition I didn't really know in which category neither in which level I should put my models in. I finally decided to try the "diorama" category with the Chenillette Renault UE and "straight from the box" category with the Panzerkampfwagen B2 (f) both at the advanced level. The Chenillette hasn't won anything... it is true that the other dioramas in competition were a lot more eyecatching and the subjects were more elaborate...
But the surprise of the day came with the Panzerkampfwagen B2 (f) which won silver.
The show was really great and well organized with a lot of incredible models both at the contest and at the exhibition and of course... a lot of nice stuff to buy from the different shops / manufacturers that were present (yes I know... I'm weak...). All in all, a very good day during which I've learned a lot about modelling and also made some nice meetings of people whom I had never seen before.
