Hey everyone,
Again, I kept silent for a long time but nevertheless managed to progress on the Renault FT. I finished the camo with the black disruptive lines separating the yellow and the brown colors. I tried to add some contrast with highly diluted Tamiya “Smoke” paint (transparent black paint) by applying it as a post-shading. I also applied the decals, varnished the model and added some scratches by brush with Vallejo colors (lighter colors than the ones that are used for the three tone camo and then German black brown camo and dark rust). You’ll notice that I also added the tracks that I base painted with Vallejo’s “track primer”. Speaking of these, I really advise you to glue them before you paint them and before you paint the boogies because the fit is so precise that otherwise you’ll have problems when you’ll fit them on the vehicle. I didn’t do that because I thought it would be easier for the painting but at the end… I spent more time to remove the paint at some places to make them fit that I should have glued them before… live and learn…
Next step: weathering
HAPPY MODELLING!
Super boulot comme à ton habitude ;)
RépondreSupprimerMerci Mass, parallèlement, le dio avance aussi et j'ai bon espoir de finir le tout pour l'expo de de Mol ;-)
SupprimerExcellent work, really like the colours used.
RépondreSupprimerTHX Pete, I just followed one of the patterns that was shown in the instructions but used Tamiya color for the yellowish color and Vallejo acrylics for the brown-reddish and for the green color. Greetz, Thierry
