This is a really late first post of the year but others will follow soon... stay tuned!
Last week end the famous exhibition "Plein feux sur le maquettisme 2013" took place in Ransart (near Charleroi - Belgium). As usual, it was very well organised, very crowded, a lot of manufacturers and clubs attended the show and the quality of the models displayed was quite stunning! Here are some pics of the contest in the category "Military vehicules" mostly in the "advanced" and "master" levels.
I've been attending the show for 4 years now and decided to join the contest but I didn't win any medal this time. My Vietnam diorama with the ford Mutt got nevertheless awarded with a "quality" certificate from the jury. Anyway the show was a great opportunity to meet people, see other modellers' works, get amazed and of course... to buy some more stuff... damned manufacturers and your nice models... : )
I also met, in real, a cool and kind French modeller also sharing his work and impressions on this hobby on blogspot, Alex Benvenuti, with whom I spent some time arround a fresh beer and some French ... I mean Belgian fries! THX for making the long trip to Ransart, Alex, it was nice to meeting you!
