Dio "En route pour Dunkerque" - Dio in progress (part 3)

Hi folks,

Here are some pics of the progress that I made on my dio with the H39 and the Peugeot P112. I made the ground behind and next to the wall with pigments, wall filler, sand, little pebbles, paint and water. The plants and weeds behind the wall are dried moss that I gathered from a walk in the wood and that I painted (don't forget to paint it otherwise it will become yellowish with time passing by). The creeper on the wall is from Joefix and I added some real dried roots to make it look more like the real thing. The leaves from Joefix were already greenish but I sprayed some more shades of green to make it greener and to add some variation.

Ok ok... enough talking... here are the pics.

And of course... as always... don't hesitate to leave comments, questions and/or constructive criticisms!

An update will follow soon! Stay tuned!

Dio "En route pour Dunkerque" - Dio in progress (part 2)

Hey everyone,

This last week I've spent some time working on the dio and I managed to make some substential progress on it. I painted the wall and started the real paint job on the paved street. These two elements will be the subjects of two articles that I'm planning to publish later on this blog under the form of step by step guides in order to share the methods I used with those who are interested in making their own walls and/or paved street from scratch. I also made the last big component of this dio: the tree behind the wall. It was made with the trunk of a dead bonsai that I kept in my spare box and with twigs with leafs from Joefix Studio.
Here are some pics of the general idea of the dio that I took this morning under the Belgian sun  : )

And of course... as always... don't hesitate to leave comments, questions and/or constructive criticisms.
